TO: Sponsor of Family Day Care Homes

RE: Revised Household Contact Policy

Immediate Action Required

Effective immediately, the Oregon Department of Education Child Nutrition Programs (ODE CNP) requires sponsors of Family Day Care Homes (FDCH) to implement the revised Household Contact Policy as required by 7 CFR 226.6(m)(5).

The revised Household Contact Policy is based on input received from Sponsors during our Family Day Care Home call held on September 26, 2022.

The purpose of the requirement is to further the integrity of the Child and Adult Care Food Program and ensure that providers are claiming reimbursement only for meals for which they are entitled.
