Follow-up to December EII Aligned Message

In follow-up to the December EII Aligned Message, we’re reaching out to share a few quick updates that include:

  1. OHA/ODE Webinar: ODE is hosting a webinar in collaboration with OHA this Wednesday, December 14 from 4-5:30pm. The focus of the webinar will be the Centering Health and Well-Being in Education resource that was released earlier this fall. During the webinar, we’ll be joined by some health partners and districts to share more about the strategies they’ve developed to support health and well-being using SIA funds. If you’re interested in attending, please register here.
  2. Charter School Eligibility Follow-up: On Thursday, December 8, the State Board of Education passed a temporary rule change for determining charter school eligibility. This allows ODE to use the 2019 spring membership report for economically disadvantaged data to determine charter schools that are eligible to apply independently for the 2023-25 based on this indicator. All other determination for other indicators remains the same. ODE had previously communicated out that some charter schools on this list were eligible pending State Board approval, which again is now confirmed.
  3. Updated FAQ Resource: ODE has updated the Integrated Guidance FAQ resource with new questions that have come in since the last edition.
