Re: Including the Division 22 Standards Report on your local School Board’s October agenda

Dear Superintendent,

This is a reminder that you should plan to include the Division 22 Standards Report on your local School Board’s October agenda in order to meet the Nov. 1 reporting deadline.

The Division 22 Standards Assurances process includes three steps:

  • By November 1, 2022: School district superintendents report to their local School Board the district’s compliance with all Division 22 Standards for the 2021-22 school year.
  • By November 1, 2022: School districts post the community report to their websites.
  • By November 15, 2022: School districts complete and submit to ODE the annual Division 22 Standards Assurances Form.

Districts are required to use the Community Report on Compliance with Public School Standards Template, which meets WCAG 2.0 accessibility criteria.

  • File format: ODE recommends posting the report as a PDF (converted from the original Word file). This ensures both ease of access and accessibility for people with disabilities. Alternatively, districts may upload and post the report as a Word.docx file in Google Drive.
  • Translation: Schools must communicate information to limited English proficient parents in a language they can understand about any program, service, or activity that is called to the attention of parents who are proficient in English. Translated versions of the template in six languages are available to download from the Division 22 webpage (scroll all the way down to find the links).

Please reach out to me at any time via email (Division22@ode.oregon.gov) or phone (503-580-6814) for more information or support.

Sincerely,

Susan Payne
