RE: Summer Learning Best Practice Guide Companion Toolkit- Released!

Dear District and School Leaders & Education Partners,

We are excited to release the companion Toolkit to the Summer Learning Best Practice Guide for the Summer of 2022. This Toolkit is intended to support the planning, managing, and implementation of robust, equity-driven summer programs by offering practical tools and resources. The Toolkit expands upon the resources from the Summer Learning Best Practice Guide and The Summer Learning Webinar Series.

Summer Learning Landscape

After the launch of state-funded summer programming in 2021, the Oregon legislature invested $150 million for summer learning programs in 2022. As districts continue to uplift and deepen expanded learning opportunities, this companion Toolkit provides planning tools, innovative approaches, and examples of Oregon programming from across our state for inspiration this summer.

Expanded Learning Office Hours

Please join us for a series of virtual office hours to provide an informal space for expanded learning (before/after school, summer learning) leaders to ask questions, share strategies, and puzzle through any problems of practice with colleagues and ODE staff. Please see this Infographic for dates, Zoom links and more information.
