Aligning for Student Success - May Message:

We’re looking forward to meeting with you!

ODE program staff have begun traveling to each ESD region across the state to partner with applicants and help support understanding of the recently released “Aligning for Student Success: Integrated Guidance for Six ODE Initiatives.”

You can expect to leave these meetings with:

- A clear understanding of how these programs are integrating in goals and budgets

- Tools to support you in developing a plan for engagement with your community starting in Fall 2022

- Resources for further developing this work

- A relationship with the ODE staff who will support you as you move forward with implementation

We anticipate this collaborative time together will help build a shared understanding of the work, support generation of ideas leading into the fall, and offer the opportunity to share resources and answer your questions.

Contact your local ESD Liaison if you’d like additional information about the engagement date(s) for your region. You can also email ODE.EII@ode.oregon.gov with questions

We hope to see you there!

High School Success (HSS)

HSS Preliminary Allocations for 2022-23 are linked and these estimates should be used for planning purposes only. Please wait until HSS allocations are final toward the end of May or June before going through the full plan change process.

Also, please remember to check your HSS allocation balances in EGMS and spend down funds according to your HSS plans, especially considering potential carryover from 2021-22 (Y1) to 2022-23 (Y2).

As the school year winds down, let's encourage all students to fill out FAFSA information to support financial aid and college level opportunities. Thank you for all of your hard work this year to support Oregon’s students!

Student Investment Account (SIA)

YCEP/JDEP: As a reminder, YCEP and JDEP programs are now eligible to apply for SIA funds. SIA applications can be submitted from now until May 31, 2022 via the Google form shared with programs. If you have any questions as you’re completing the SIA application, reach out to SIAinfo@ode.oregon.gov

SIA Funds: As of April 1, grantees are able to claim 100% of their 2021-22 SIA funds. As a reminder, the SIA is a disbursement grant thus allowing grantees to claim funds before spending occurs. Additionally, grantees must claim 100% of their funds by June 30, 2022 even though the universal summer extension allows grantees to spend their funds through September 30, 2022. ODE recommends that grantees draw down the full amount released each quarter as outlined in the Grant Agreement/Amendment.

  FAQs:

When will 2022-23 (Y2) SIA Allocations become available?

We anticipate SIA will release final 2022-23 allocations in June. For your planning in the meantime, we recommend using the Estimated Allocations found on the SIA website. Please take into account that 2022-23 allocations will use 2021-22 second period extended ADMw for calculations.
