Dear School and District Leaders,

In our August 26 bulletin, we announced an exciting new resource for school leaders and staff, the Handle with Care tool. This tool is a great way to promote care and connection year-round, but especially during the first few weeks of the school year.

To further support usage of this tool, we have updated our Care and Connection Resources webpage with a number of supplementary resources. We have developed guidance for usage of the Handle with Care tool suggesting ways staff may use this tool and encouraging the setting of healthy professional boundaries while using this tool.

There are now two printable JPEG versions of the Handle with Care message, which are the perfect size for staff to print and send home to be hung on a bulletin board or refrigerator.

Finally, the Handle with Care message has been translated into six additional  languages - Arabic, Traditional Chinese, Russian, Somali, Spanish, and Vietnamese - all of which can be shared virtually and/or printed and handed out.

We wish you well as the school year begins and invite you to reach out to us to share how you and your school and district are beginning the year with Care and Connection, and to let us know how we can continue to support you.

With appreciation for all that you do,

B Grace Bullock, Ph.D.
Senior Mental Health Strategist
