Oregon Department of Education - Oregon achieves - together

Dear District, School and Special Education Leaders,

The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) recently released the Ready Schools, Safe Learners Resiliency Framework for the 2021-22 School Year. Part of the Resiliency Framework includes the need for consideration of Individualized COVID-19 Recovery Services, consistent with the recent adoption of OAR 581-015-2228. In response to this need, ODE created guidance to support schools and districts in their planning for Individualized COVID-19 Recovery Services.

ODE will be hosting three webinar sessions intended for Special Education Directors and relevant district leadership to support implementation of this guidance, with the first of these sessions to be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

ODE will hold repeat sessions of this webinar on Wednesday, August 18 (2:00 – 4:00 p.m.) and Friday, September 3 (12:00 – 2:00 p.m.). Please use the following links to register:

We look forward to partnering with you during these webinars and as you implement this guidance.

Thank you,

Tenneal Wetherall
Assistant Superintendent, Office of Enhancing Student Opportunities
