Dear School and District Leaders,
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on Oregon’s children, youth and families, disproportionately impacting communities of color, low-income families, and rural communities. As a state, we have a collective responsibility to address learning inequities and help mitigate the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Oregon children and families.
A critical opportunity to address these impacts starts this summer. Community-based organizations (CBOs) can provide continuity in education, connection, and necessary supports for children, youth, and families. The state is providing additional financial resources, through the Oregon Community Foundation, to help CBOs address these needs.
The Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) will administer $40 million in competitive grants for community organizations to provide summer enrichment activities for K-12 aged students, as well as $1.2 million for parent-child summer programming for families with young children.
We encourage you to review and share these resources with your networks.

Thank you!
