SIA Update

Our team is sharing another resource, the narrative plan update template, this week to support your SIA plan update development. This template was developed to provide a place for current grantees to begin crafting responses to the narrative questions included in Appendix B of the Supporting Quality Implementation. As a reminder, SIA plan updates will need to be submitted during the May 1 - June 30, 2021 window. . 

Additionally, the SIA team wanted to share an update about the frequency of SIA messages moving forward. Starting in April we will shift in the SIA weekly message to a biweekly update. The content and format will remain the same, but we’re making this pivot to reduce redundancy in information as well as lessen the emails that you are receiving. As needed, we may still send critical updates and information in between the biweekly messages from time to time.

This Week’s Frequently Asked Question

Q: Our district is anxious to start working on our second progress report due on April 30, 2021. When will we be able to edit the second reporting period cells?

A: During the last week in March, the SIA team will be locking columns from the first progress report and unlocking columns for the second progress report in your district’s customized reporting dashboard. You can expect to be able to start entering information for the second progress report in early April. As a reminder for the second progress report, you will be reporting progress and expenditures for the January 1 - March 31 period.

Reminder of Requests for Summer Extension

As a reminder, the Smartsheet form to request a Summer Extension has been sent out to the SIA contact for each district and eligible charter. The deadline to respond and indicate that you would like a summer extension is 3/31/21. If you have not received the summer extension request please emails us at SIAInfo@state.or.us
