Dear School and District Leaders,

We want to share a new resource to support your training and communication efforts with staff and members of your community. These presentation slides aim to teach the health and safety protocols as written in the Ready Schools, Safe Learners (RSSL) guidance in a simplified format, and correspond with the planning necessary to return to on-site instruction along with the flow of a school day. The slides can be customized to meet the needs of your audience.

ODE partnered with the Coalition of Oregon School Administrators (COSA), Oregon Education Association (OEA), Oregon School Boards Association (OSBA), and Education Service District (ESD) Reopening Advisors to develop these presentation slides.

We also want to note a small technical fix in the Planning for COVID-19 Scenarios in Schools guidance. Language regarding COVID-19 testing at school was removed from the scenario 1a section on page 9 as it did not apply to the scenario.
