Increasing Equity in Access to Accelerated Learning in Oregon - Training Session


Join us for a 90-minute virtual training session with REL Northwest on Wednesday, October 21 from 11:00-12:30 PST on increasing equity in access to accelerated learning in Oregon. Participants will be provided with a dashboard to look up and examine accelerated learning participation rates for students by high school or district.

The training objectives are to:

  • Use accelerated learning course enrollment data to identify participation gaps between groups of students in dual-credit, direct-enrollment, Advanced Placement, and International Baccalaureate course enrollment at your school or district
  • Understand how to analyze root causes of equity gaps in accelerated learning participation for students of color
  • Become familiar with targeted strategies to address equity gaps in accelerated learning

Exploring Open Education Resources (OER)/Oregon Open Learning (OOL) Hub - Workshop Session


Join us for a 90-minute virtual workshop tailor-made for your profession with the Oregon Open Learning team on Tuesday, October 20 from 2:00-3:30 PST to learn about Open Educational Resources (OER) and the Oregon Open Learning (OOL) Hub.

The Oregon Department of Education is excited to introduce you to the OOL Hub, which serves as a digital resource repository and collaboration space for educators, administrators, and other educational partners to curate, create, and remix open educational resources (OER).

The workshop objectives are to:

  • Engage with the “why” and “what” of open education
  • Create an account on OER/OOL to join professional groups related to your expertise or interest, such as the Comprehensive School Counseling Programs and Oregon Career Connected Learning group
  • Identify open licensing and find/develop resources
