Sharing, Insights, and Development of Growth Targets and an SIA Evaluation Approach

This workshop is designed to honor the time, energy and effort you have poured into the development of Longitudinal Performance Growth Targets (LPGTs), and to deepen connections and continuity of learning. We are holding this workshop in the spirit of continuous improvement and a desire to support learning. We want to provide insights we’ve gained while reviewing LPGTs and listen to your feedback for how we can support the monitoring & evaluation process going forward. We imagine that superintendents, instructional, and accountability leaders and teams that worked on your district/school’s “common and customized” approach to evaluation would find this of interest. ESD Liaisons are also invited to participate. Please note this is not formal co-development for the SIA grant process. Once we receive more clarity about SIA next year, we will follow-up about formal co-development.
This week ODE released Ready Schools, Safe Learners, the initial guidance for how public and private schools will take next steps to plan for the 2020-21 school year. The guidance is a starting point and will continue to be updated based on:
- The continuing impacts of COVID-19 and the state’s evolving mitigation efforts as directed by Governor Brown and the Oregon Health Authority.
- Input from educators, students, families, and community partners.
- An ongoing review of equity impacts.
- Learnings from efforts being rolled out in other states and countries.
