Erin's Law Toolkit for Districts (with correct links)

Dearest colleagues,

We hope this message finds you taking good care of yourself, and one another. We first want to acknowledge and thank each of you--  teachers, parents, administrators, school staff, families, and community members--  for working so hard in these times to help our students stay safe, healthy, and connected. We are all deeply appreciative for all you do.

Distance Learning for All: Erin’s Law Toolkit for Districts

We are reaching out now to provide a new resource to help school districts with the implementation of Erin's Law. The Erin's Law Toolkit provides school districts with lessons to meet the legal requirements of Erin’s law, preventing child abuse, bullying, and sexual violence, and promoting physical and mental health & safety, and supporting students during this time.

The toolkit provides guidance and resources, including recommendations for:

  • Specific lessons for K-12, with distance online/offline adaptations
  • Approaches to preparing a safe and supportive learning environment for teaching Erin's Law lessons
  • Resources for engaging with parent and caregivers for partnering on instruction

We hope that these resources help you be more equipped to serve your district and community's students and families. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Warmly,
