The following items may be of interest to McKinney-Vento Liaisons and staff:

How to help:

  • Red Cross
    Donations for the Pendleton flood can be made at the Red Cross website.  Red Cross encourages cash donations so that they can use funds to get people what they need after assessments have been made.
  • Community Action Program of East Central Oregon (CAPECO)
    CAPCO is a regional organization that will help evacuees secure housing and meet immediate food needs. Donations can be made at the CAPECO website. 
  • Disaster Preparation and Response: Tips for Liaisons - A set of links, checklists, manuals and briefs by the National Center on Homeless Education, produced in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Includes tips for helping students recovering from disasters and other traumatic events.
