Has your Company Applied for an Entity License Yet? 

All entities engaged in the business of providing private security in the state of Oregon must have a valid DPSST issued license or Temporary Authorization Form to operate as a private security entity as of January 1, 2024.

What does “engaged in the business of providing private security” mean? It includes recruiting, soliciting, supplying, or employing private security professionals, supervisory managers, or executive managers for an agreed remuneration or rate of pay to perform private security services. Oregon Administrative Rule (OAR) 259-059-0010(5). This includes employing, contracting, or subcontracting private security professionals to provide private security services.
