DPSST Closing Oregon Public Safety Academy

Greetings –

 

DPSST has been carefully monitoring coronavirus developments both locally and nationally over the past few weeks. During that time we have taken precautions to safeguard the health and wellness of our students, employees, and the communities we serve.

 

We have received reports of students on campus exhibiting symptoms of illness. Out of an abundance of caution we are cancelling ALL academy training classes effective immediately and sending ALL students home.  We are also sending all DPSST staff home immediately until we know more about the situation. 

 

Please expect regular updates as there are many unknowns that we are working to address. We will bring staff back onto campus when it is safe to do so. Under our closure plan, we will need to postpone current and future academy training classes for at least four weeks.  Our staff will use existing communications vehicles to contact agency representatives on our actions and dates for classes to resume.
