Double and single lane closures on I-5 north tonight
Expect delays and watch for crews in Southwest Portland from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
Travelers will encounter double and single right lane closures along a nearly three mile stretch of Interstate 5 northbound in Southwest Portland from Barbur Boulevard to Spring Garden.
Oregon Department of Transportation crews will close the two right lanes on I-5 northbound between Barbur Boulevard and the Huber Street on-ramp to I-5 from 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23 to 5 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24. The two lane closure is needed to complete electrical and bridge repairs on the Capitol Highway overpass.
The City of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services will close the right lane of I-5 northbound from the Taylors Ferry Road off-ramp (exit 295) to Spring Garden from 8:30 p.m. Friday to 5:30 a.m. Saturday to construct a stormwater management project.
