Night closures on southbound Marquam Bridge Dec. 5-7  

 

Southbound Interstate 5 over the Marquam Bridge will be closed Friday and Saturday nights for bridge inspection.


The closures are scheduled from 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5 to 5 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 and again from 10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 to 6 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 7.


The following ramps will be closed during the same hours.

  • I-5 southbound on-ramp from North Greeley Avenue. 
  • I-5 southbound on-ramp from Interstate 405 northbound.
  • I-5 southbound on-ramp from Weidler Street/Wheeler Avenue/Winning Way.
  • I-5 southbound exit 302A to the Moda Center.
  • I-5 southbound exit 301 to I-84 eastbound.
  • I-5 southbound exit 300B to U.S. 26 eastbound/OR99E/OMSI/Oregon City.
  • I-5 southbound off-ramp to I-405 northbound.

When the closure is in place, I-5 southbound traffic will be directed to Interstate 405 southbound and back to I-5 to bypass the closure area. Interstate 84 westbound traffic may take I-5 north to I-405 south and back to I-5.

All bridges in Oregon are inspected every two years.
