Ramps along I-5 closed tonight in Portland

Closures from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. on Marquam Bridge, I-84 east, City Center and Moda Center

ODOT crews will close several on- and off-ramps to repair damages from earlier crashes. ODOT will provide detours for the following closures:

Starting at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7 to 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, ODOT crews will close the right lane of Interstate 5 starting at the off-ramp from Broadway to Burnside. This will require closing the off-ramps to Interstate 84 eastbound and the City Center and OMSI and the Broadway on-ramp. During the closure, crews will repair two crash barrier attenuators and perform electrical repairs on a sign bridge along the ramps to I-84 and City Center.

Travelers on I-5 south heading to I-84 eastbound can take the Fremont Bridge to Interstate 405 south, take the I-5 northbound off-ramp and then take the I-84 eastbound off-ramp.

Travelers from Broadway and Moda Center heading to I-5 south can follow detour signs that will take them to I-5 north to the Fremont Bridge to I-405 south to the I-5 southbound off-ramp.

Crews will close I-5 northbound to the Marquam Bridge from 9 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m., Saturday to perform fence repairs. Closing lanes to the northbound Marquam Bridge will also require closing the Macadam Avenue on-ramp to I-5 north.

During the closure, travelers on I-5 northbound will take I-405 northbound to I-5. The closure will not affect travelers from I-405 south across the Marqaum Bridge to I-5 north.

Please be alert to people working and equipment in the roadway and use caution traveling through the area.
