ODOT – Bend Broadband Upgrade Pass-cam
BEND – As winter weather approaches on Santiam Pass, US20, ODOT and our video image supplier Bend Broadband plan to change out the old analogue microwave video signal system from near Hoodoo Ski Area to Bend and install a new digital link.
During this time the full motion video for Santiam Pass many of us are used to seeing will be down. This outage will be noticed on BBB digital channel 219 and analogue channel 48. The loss of image may last up to 2 weeks.
Bend Broad Band plans to feed this image via new digital equipment in partnership with ODOT back to the same places it is today.
The TripCheck.com still image will remain current.
ODOT urges motorists to view either the video or still camera images of mountain pass conditions before traveling across the Cascades as wintry driving conditions affect the region.
