Paving scheduled starting Sunday night at
I-5/U.S. 20 interchange area
ALBANY – Starting at 8 p.m. this Sunday, September 21 and continuing through each evening next week, the Oregon Department of Transportation will be grinding and paving areas around the I-5/U.S. 20 interchange (Exit 233). Work should take place each evening between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
The work includes grinding and paving the I-5 Exit 233 on ramp; bridge deck and “fly over” section; and U.S. 20 from I-5 to OR 99E. The plan is to also perform a deck seal on the bridge.
Both U.S. 20 and OR 99E will have lane closures starting at 8 p.m. Motorists can expect up to 20-minute delays with two-way traffic controlled by flaggers. Motorists should consider an alternative route or expect delays.
Variable message signs (VMS) have been posted in key locations warning motorists of the planned work.
