OR 18: SE Lafayette Highway to SE Ash Road
Share your thoughts in the project survey
We're starting to design a project to make safety improvements at two intersections on OR 18 in Dayton and want to hear how you get through the project area!
Fill out the survey before it closes on October 25 to tell us:
- The best way to share information with you.
- If you're a farmer who lives or works near the project area.
- How you use the intersections in the area.
- How temporary road closures and detours may impact you during construction.
- Your experiences in the area and more!

  About the project
To improve safety, we're considering solutions like building a roundabout at the OR 233/SE Lafayette Highway and OR 18 intersection to reduce crash risk.
Roundabouts naturally slow traffic through an intersection. By reducing the speed of traffic, the severity of crashes should decrease.
We’re currently not funded for construction. As we get further into design, we'll have a better idea about the construction cost and schedule.

Pay attention in work zones, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work! Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.
Remember: fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
