Perrydale Road to Kings Valley Highway
|

Perrydale Road reopened last week
Thank you for your patience as we realigned Perrydale Road at the OR 22 intersection. Good news: we reopened the intersection last Friday, September 4 – a few weeks earlier than expected!
Crews are now preparing for the new alignments of Smithfield and Coville Roads. You'll see work north of OR 22 at Kings Valley Highway.
This work shouldn't impact traffic during the day, but there may be shoulder or lane closures as needed on surrounding side streets at night over the next couple of months.
You may have noticed that we haven't removed the old alignment of Perrydale Road yet. This section of road will remain for the duration of the project so equipment can drive in and out of the staging area.
You can expect:
- Crews mostly working during the day, but may work at night as needed.
- Lane and shoulder closures with flaggers directing traffic as needed.
- Construction noise and delays.
Crews plan to continue working for the next couple of months before pausing for the winter. The Kings Valley Highway full road closure and detour will happen in 2027.

Pay attention in work zones, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work. Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.
Remember: fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
