Northbound I-5 traffic is shifting

Thank you for being so patient when we shifted southbound I-5 traffic to the newly widened and paved lanes. It went so well that we expect the northbound traffic shift to proceed just as smoothly.

Our schedule may change, but we plan to shift northbound traffic back to the original lanes on Thursday, August 13.

• We're starting to shift traffic around 9 p.m. on August 13.
• We plan to finish moving traffic by 5 a.m. on August 14. 
• Southbound I-5 traffic will be unaffected in the work zone.
• Please slow down and watch for our crews in the work zone.

Northbound Commercial Street off-ramp and northbound Delaney Road on-ramp 48-hour closure

Expect a 24/7 northbound Commercial Street off-ramp and Delaney Road on-ramp for 48-hours starting at 6 a.m. on August 17. 

While the ramps are closed, crews will work on correcting the driving surface, paving and making road repairs.

Southbound Commercial Street on-ramp closures

Plan for the southbound Commercial Street on-ramp to close nightly on August 19 and August 20 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

While the ramp is closed, crews will work on correcting the driving surface, paving and making road repairs.

What's next Crews will continue southbound work on the shoulders and in the northbound lanes focusing on completing work to reconnect Commercial Street and Delaney Road on- and off-ramps. Crews will also restore construction areas and complete final landscaping. Travelers should expect lane closures as needed.

Pay attention in work zones, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work. Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.  Remember that fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
