PORTLAND – Expect delays of 15 to 25 minutes on the Interstate Bridge from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on two Friday nights in August for regular cable greasing of the bridge lifts.
The schedule is:
- 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, to 6 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8.
- 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, to 6 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22
The work might require up to 10 lifts in each direction, so plan extra time into your trip if you expect to use the bridge this Friday night or the night of Aug. 21.
Southbound Interstate 205 is scheduled to be closed overnight on Friday and Saturday nights in August for concrete pouring. But northbound I-205 will remain open and would be an option for northbound regional travelers wishing to bypass central Portland.
