OREGON CITY – Southbound Interstate 205 will close Friday and Saturday nights, Aug. 7-8, for concrete pouring at the I-205 corridor and Abernethy Bridge Project.
Southbound I-205 will close from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. each night. The OR 99E on-ramp to southbound I-205 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. for the bridge closures.
Northbound I-205 will remain open.
If you use Interstate 5 as a detour, expect a delay of 15 to 25 minutes on the Interstate Bridge from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. this Friday night and Friday night, Aug. 21, for regular cable greasing of the bridge lifts.
Detours
- Southbound traffic can bypass I-205 in this section by using detours on Interstate 5, Interstate 84 and the Ross Island Bridge. (Expect a delay on the I-5 Interstate Bridge Friday night during cable greasing.)
- Local traffic can use the Arch Bridge on OR 43 to cross the Willamette River.
- Northbound I-205 lanes will remain open.
Southbound overnight closures will continue each weekend in August.
Schedules can change due to weather and other factors. Please visit the project website for ongoing updates.
