We're moving right along – northbound I-5 traffic is shifting between Kuebler Boulevard and Delaney Road 

What you need to know if you're driving on I-5 the night of August 2

Thank you for your patience when we shifted southbound I-5 traffic to the newly widened and paved lanes. It went so well, we're expecting the northbound traffic shift to go just as smoothly! 

This Sunday, drivers should expect rolling slowdowns, shifting lanes and a slower drive as crews move traffic back to northbound I-5.

Here's what you can expect the night of August 2:

• We're starting to shift traffic around 9 p.m. on August 2.
• We plan to finish moving traffic by 5 a.m. on August 3. 
• Southbound I-5 traffic will be unaffected in the work zone.
• Please slow down and watch for our crews in the work zone.

What's next After traffic has shifted, crews will continue to pave the northbound lanes. Travelers should expect lane closures as needed. Crews will also focus on completing work to reconnect Commercial Street and Delaney Road on- and off-ramps, restore construction areas and complete final landscaping.

Pay attention in work zones, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work. Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.  Remember that fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
