July 17, 2026

APPLEGATE – Travelers can expect delays next week as a highway maintenance project continues on Oregon 238. Crews will repair cracked and rutted pavement on portions of the highway in the Applegate Valley.

Monday and Tuesday, July 20 and 21 – 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The work zone will include a section of OR 238 from milepost 18 (Thompson Creek Road), east for two miles to milepost 20.

Wednesday and Thursday, July 22 and 23 – 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The work zone will include sections between mileposts 7 and 14 (near Grays Creek Road to Provolt).

The highway will be limited to a single lane through the work zone. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers and pilot cars. Expect delays of less than 20 minutes and reduced speed through the work zone.

Allow extra travel time and watch for crews and equipment. Consider using an alternate route to avoid delays.

This work is weather dependent and schedules may change.
