OREGON CITY – Northbound Interstate 205 and the on-ramp from OR 43 to northbound I-205 will be closed Friday and Saturday nights for concrete pouring at Abernethy Bridge between West Linn and Oregon City.
Southbound I-205 will remain open. We expect each night’s closure to last from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Detours:
- Northbound traffic can use Interstate 5 to travel through Portland, and northbound traffic can reach areas north of Oregon City using Interstate 84.
- Local traffic can use the Arch Bridge on OR 43 to cross the river.
- Southbound I-205 lanes will remain open.
Only one direction of I-205 will be closed for each of these nights. The next overnight closures for concrete pouring on the Abernethy Bridge are scheduled for the nights of:
- Friday, July 24 – northbound I-205
- Saturday, July 25 – southbound I-205
Schedules can change due to weather and other factors.
Concrete pouring will require overnight closures through the rest of this summer in the I-205 corridor and Abernethy Bridge Project.
Reminder: Interstate Bridge I-5 overnight closures through Thursday night
PORTLAND – Northbound Interstate 5 will be closed on the Interstate Bridge from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. tonight and Thursday night for routine inspections and maintenance of the bridge.
