PORTLAND – I-5 on the Interstate Bridge will close in one direction each night July 13-16 for routine bridge inspections and maintenance.
Closure schedule:
- Monday, July 13, and Tuesday, July 14: Southbound I-5 and State Route 14 exit ramp to southbound I-5 will close 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
- Wednesday, July 15, and Thursday, July 16: Northbound I-5 will close 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Only one direction of I-5 will be closed each night.
Crews completed inspection and maintenance work under the bridge earlier this summer using a barge on the Columbia River. Work on the top side of the bridge requires crews and equipment on the bridge deck and periodic lift openings. This work is being done at night to reduce traffic impacts.

OREGON CITY – Northbound I-205 will close from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights at the Abernethy Bridge between West Linn and Oregon City. The closures are needed for concrete work on the I-205 corridor and Abernethy Bridge Project.
