Pendleton curb ramps
Prepare for nighttime signal work at Emigrant Avenue and SW 20th Street this week
July 13, 2026
PENDLETON – Travelers on Emigrant Avenue should expect nighttime lane closures at the intersection of SW 20th Street for signal work beginning tonight, July 13, through Friday morning, July 17.
Work includes installing new conduits and wires for upgraded infrastructure that cannot be installed while the signal is operating. The signal will be turned off intermittently during the overnight work hours so crews can safely make the necessary connections.
The signal work is part of the curb ramp project and includes moving one of the traffic signal poles at the intersection.
What to expect:
- Crews working from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Shoulder and lane closures.
- Flaggers helping direct traffic when the signal is turned off.
- Intermittent side street closures are possible.
Work on Emigrant Avenue
Crews are making progress updating curb ramps along Emigrant Avenue, between SE Third Street and SW 20th Street.
During construction, travelers should expect daytime work Monday through Thursday, lane shifts, and occasional lane or shoulder closures with flaggers directing traffic. You may notice some delays and construction noise, but businesses will remain open and pedestrian access will be maintained.
Crews will pause work in Pendleton during summer events like the Pendleton Round-Up, Sept. 10-20.
This project is on schedule to be completed by the end of October.
Work nears completion on Dorion Avenue
Crews have finished most of the work on Dorion Avenue between SW 12th Street and SE Fourth Street. Work on Dorion Avenue is expected to be wrapped up by the end of July.
