Share your feedback by July 31 to make roads safer for everyone

We want your feedback on the updated draft of the Transportation Safety Action Plan.  

The plan guides our decisions and investments to make roads safer for everyone, including people who walk, roll and bike. We update the plan every five years, and community feedback is a vital step in the process.

How to comment on the draft plan 

There are three ways to comment on the draft plan. Please choose the one that works best for you. The comment deadline is July 31, 2026.  

Online form 

ODOT webinar on June 25

We’re holding a webinar June 25 about the plan and we encourage the public to join us. We'll give an overview of the plan, how crash data and safety partners influenced the updates, and how you can stay involved. 

We’ll also accept verbal or written comments on the draft plan at the meeting. 

Webinar details 

  • When: 11 a.m.-noon, June 25.
  • Where: Virtual - Microsoft Teams.
  • Registration is required to attend. Register for the webinar online by noon, June 24. 

Public meeting on July 8 

The Oregon Transportation Safety Committee will meet 9:30-11:30 a.m. July 8 in Salem to hear public comments about the draft plan. The meeting will be in person and have a virtual attendance option. You may comment in either format, and your time will be limited to five minutes. 

To comment at the meeting — either in person or online — you must register to attend: Sign up to comment at the meeting. The registration deadline is noon, July 7. 

Meetings are open to everyone. Accommodations will be provided to people with disabilities.

Next steps 

We will spend the summer reviewing public feedback and completing the final draft of the updated plan. We expect to present the final plan for adoption by the Oregon Transportation Commission at their October 2026 meeting.
