Do you drive, ride, walk or roll in Astoria?

Heads up Astoria – you may have seen more activity on U.S. 101 and U.S. 30 

Our partners have been in the area over the past few weeks, moving utilities to prepare for us to start work on about 263 curb ramps in Astoria. Some utility companies will continue relocations through August. Please watch for workers, drive carefully and follow posted signs.

We plan to start construction this fall

When construction starts, you can expect:

• Crews working during the day and night.
• Lane closures Sunday through Thursday nights.
• Sidewalk and curb ramp closures. Follow the posted pedestrian detour routes to the nearest available crosswalk.​
• Lane shifts, shoulder and lane closures as needed.
• Flaggers directing traffic as needed.
• Delays and construction noise – saw cutting concrete can be loud and dusty.
• Businesses near the corners we're working on to remain open during construction.

Pay attention in work zones, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work! Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers. Remember: fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not. ​
