Region 4 Weekly Construction Update
Here at ODOT, we are committed to providing a safe and efficient transportation system for everyone. We invest in Oregon's future through roadway improvement projects. The following projects are located within Region 4; Central Oregon from The Dalles to Klamath Falls on the east side of the Cascades.
There are two ways to learn about construction taking place for the upcoming week.
1. Visit TripCheck.com. Constantly updated with construction and crash data, TripCheck is the best way to learn about road conditions around the state. Click on a traffic cone symbol on the map to see construction impacts for that area.
2. Scroll down to the counties and highways listed below to see impacts that could affect you. Construction information is shown for one week, giving you the most up-to-date information.
All work is dependent on weather conditions, and schedules are subject to change.
DESCHUTES COUNTY
Driver Feedback Signs (Deschutes County)
Crews will be installing sign footings on Old Bend/Redmond Highway. Work will take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. No delays expected.

U.S. 97 & U.S. 20 Curb Ramps (Bend/Sisters)
BEND: Crews will begin curb ramp work at the U.S. 97/Powers Road on-and off-ramps, the U.S. 97/Butler Market on‑ and off‑ramps, and Nels Anderson Road at 3rd Street. Drivers should expect shoulder closures in these areas.
SISTERS: Crews will be working at corners on U.S. 20 between Pine Street and East Cascade Avenue. Work will take place nightly, Monday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Drivers should expect single lane closures controlled by flaggers with occasional delays. Nearby residents should expect nighttime construction noise.

U.S. 97: Lower Bridge Way - Northwest 10th Street (Terrebonne)
Smith Rock Way will be closed from U.S. 97 to 16th Street beginning Monday, May 4 for eight weeks. Local traffic will have access to their homes and businesses via 16th Street.
The intersection of Smith Rock way and 11th Street will be closed. Use posted detour.
Lower Bridge Way at U.S. 97 will is fully closed to traffic. There will be no access to or from Lower Bridge Way at U.S. 97, but U.S. 97 will remain open in both directions. Please use signed detours.
Access to 11th Street on the north end of Terrebonne remains closed, please use Central Avenue.
Access to 11th Street on the south end of Terrebonne is limited to U.S. 97, Central Avenue, and C Street.

Expected completion- May 2027
Redmond/ Prineville ADA Ramps
REDMOND: Night work is scheduled Sunday through Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. to minimize traffic impacts. Nearby residents should expect nighttime construction noise.
Crews will be constructing curb ramps at the intersections of NE King Way and Canal Boulevard, NW Quince Avenue and Canal Boulevard, and at the Canal Street/U.S. 97 interchange.
The Canal Street / U.S. 97 interchange ramps will be closed nightly, Sunday through Friday from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m., with signed detours in place. Minor delays are expected.
Drivers should also expect nighttime single-lane closures on U.S. 97 in both directions at Highland/Glacier and Evergreen Avenue. Work will occur from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Minor delays are expected on the highway.
PRINEVILLE: No work this week.

GILLIAM, SHERMAN & WASCO COUNTIES
I-84 / U.S. 197: The Dalles, Rufus & Arlington Bridges
THE DALLES: No work expected this week.
RUFUS: Both eastbound and westbound lanes are currently reduced to a single lane, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, through May 22. A reduced speed limit is in effect. Travelers should slow down, stay alert, and use caution while driving through the work zone between mileposts 107 and 110.
ARLINGTON: Both eastbound and westbound lanes are currently reduced to a single lane, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, through May 22. A reduced speed limit is in effect. Travelers should slow down, stay alert, and use caution while driving through the work zone between mileposts 137 and 139.

KLAMATH COUNTY
OR 39: Merrill SRTS (Safe Routes to Schools) Project
Crews will be performing earth, concrete and survey work. Traffic through the work zones will be managed by flaggers, expect delays up to 20 minutes.
Falvey Road will be closed to through traffic at the OR 39 intersection. Please use the detour in place.
