SALEM — The Oregon Transportation Commission will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, May 7, at 8:30 a.m. The meeting will be held in the Benton County Holmes and Shipley Commission Room, 4500 SW Research Way, Corvallis.
Items on the agenda include:

I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project Update: An informational update on the I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project funding and progress. There is a request to amend the 2024-2027 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to make construction funding available for Phase 1B, per OTC direction at the December 2025 meeting.

Interstate Bridge Replacement Program: An informational update on the IBR and a request to amend the 2024-2027 STIP to increase funding.

Center Street Bridge Project: Confirm that ODOT will move forward with Phase 2 of the Center Street Bridge Retrofit Project and seek bonding authority when funding is required.

I-205 Abernethy Bridge: An informational update on the I-205: I-5 to OR 213, Phase 1A project.

Continuous Improvement Advisory Committee Quarterly Report: Approve the Quarter 1 Major Project Quarterly Report for submission to the legislature.

Policy Option Package Approval: Request approval of the eight 2027-2029 Policy Option Packages to be included in the 2027-2029 Agency Request Budget.

Oregon State Rail Plan: An informational update on the development of the 2026 Oregon State Rail Plan.
Also on the agenda is a conversational lunch with Benton Couty Commissioners and the County Administrator. The lunch is scheduled for 12:20 p.m.

Please note participation will be limited to one representative per organization. Commenters and organizations providing public comment to the OTC for the first time will be given priority for the limited available testimony spots.

Wednesday agenda
In conjunction with the regular commission meeting, members of the OTC will participate in a ribbon cutting and two workshops on Wednesday, May 6, at multiple locations in Corvallis.
- A ribbon cutting for the Van Buren Bridge is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Riverfront Commemorative Park.
- A lunch and workshop with ODOT staff and members of the Cascades West Area Commission on Transportation will be held at 11:45 a.m. at ODOT’s District /Area 4 Office at 3700 SW Philomath Boulevard.
- A workshop with ACT and Modal chairs will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott, 400 SW 1st Street.
