Watch for lane and shoulder closures on I-84 between Huntington and Cement Plant Road

April 29, 2026

HUNTINGTON – Beginning May 4, travelers on I‑84 west of Huntington will see lane and shoulder closures as crews install new striping. Work will move between eastbound and westbound lanes.

The project covers four sections of I‑84, starting in Baker County and moving west.

The project is expected to be completed by mid-June.

About the project

Striping helps keep drivers in the correct lane and improves visibility. In eastern Oregon, harsh weather and traffic wear down pavement markings over time. This project will install durable striping in high-traffic areas.
