The current grant funding opportunity for the Connect Oregon program, which runs through March 27, will continue with a reduced amount available for eligible projects.  

To address ODOT’s funding gap for the 2025-2027 budget cycle, the Oregon Legislature redirected state funding from a number of ODOT programs and projects. This includes a $42 million redirection from the Connect Oregon program. This is a one-time budget solution to prevent 470 layoffs and deep service reductions that would have impacted safety for all travelers in Oregon. 

This redirection reduces the available funding to about $30 million for the current Connect Oregon grant funding opportunity.   

The funding application process will remain the same. Please apply by the March 27 deadline and follow the outlined application process. Visit the Connect Oregon webpage to complete your application.  

This redirection will not affect any projects funded by the program in previous funding opportunities — including the latest one that closed in 2024 — nor will it affect projects previously funded by the program’s Federal Grant Match option.  

Pause on the Federal Grant Match option  

We’re not accepting new applications for the match option, effective March 9, 2026.   

The match program is paused until we have more certainty about available funds. We do not have an estimate when the match option will be available again.
