Lakeview DMV to reopen March 23 following a six-month limited closure

LAKEVIEW – Oregon DMV has some great news for residents of the “Tallest Town in Oregon." The Lakeview DMV at 855 South F St. will reopen with its normal business hours starting March 23.
The one-person office closed temporarily in September 2025 due to staffing issues. Since then, relief from other offices has kept the office open every Wednesday for three and a half hours. Residents have had to drive to the next closest office in Klamath Falls for services all other days.
When we reopen March 23, Lakeview DMV office hours will be:
- 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
- 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Wednesday.
- Closed midday from 12:30-2 p.m., daily.
The Lakeview office will be unable to offer Class C drive tests at this time. We suggest visiting a third-party tester in Klamath Falls.
Since Lakeview is a one-person office, we may have to close intermittently for staff trainings. We’d like to thank Lakeview residents in advance for their patience.
