Seat Belt Safety Enforcement

Somebody Loves You

Law enforcement agencies across Oregon will step up seat belt enforcement from Jan. 26 through Feb 8 as part of a statewide safety campaign. The goal is simple: encourage everyone on the road to buckle up. Whether you're driving across town or just around the block, make sure you are wearing your seat belt – and remind your loved ones to do the same. Life is short and the people who care about you want you home safe.

Buckle Up. Every Trip. Every Time.

Walk+Roll to School Day

leaves

Winter Walk or Bike to School Day is coming up on Feb.5. With the right preparation, walking or biking to school in the winter can be fun and safe.

Even a little bit of daily movement can:

  • Improve children's focus and learning,
  • Provide regular physical activity,
  • Give kids time to connect with friends,
  • Reduce air pollution and traffic congestion around schools.

Dress for the weather – wear layers, scarves, rain gear, and reflective clothing to stay warm, dry, and visible.

Learn more about Walk+Roll to School Day events by visiting the Oregon Safe Routes to School webpage.
