U.S. 101 Lincoln City ADA Curb Ramps
Starting Jan. 27: Access to and from U.S. 101 will close at NW 14th Street
As part of our ADA curb ramp project, we need to temporarily close access to NW 14th Street at U.S. 101 to build new curb ramps and install buttons for pedestrians to push to cross the street.
By closing access to NW 14th Street, we can keep our crews safer, finish the work faster and maintain pedestrian access on the west side of the highway.
To detour around the closure:
-
NW 14th Street traffic can get to U.S. 101 by turning right onto NW Harbor Avenue and turning right onto NW 17th Street to get to the traffic signal at U.S. 101.
-
U.S. 101 traffic can get to NW 14th Street by continuing south and turning right onto NW 12th Street, another right turn onto NW Harbor Avenue and a final right turn onto NW 14th Street.
We expect this closure to last up to two weeks. Business access and parking will remain open during construction!

  Next steps
Once that work is complete, we plan to move to the east side of U.S. 101 at NE 14th Street. We estimate this to happen in early February. This work will require a nighttime single lane closure between 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
When crews are working at NE 14th Street, you can expect:
-
NE 14th Street to be eastbound one-way traffic only between U.S. 101 and NE Keel Avenue nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
-
A signed detour for westbound NE 14th Street traffic to turn right onto NE Oar Avenue and turn left onto NE 17th Street to get to the traffic signal at U.S. 101.
- Two-way access to and from U.S. 101 to NE 14th Street to remain open during the day.
- The closure to last up to two weeks.

Don't forget to slow down and watch for workers
Other impacts you can expect when driving through Lincoln City:
- Crews working during the day, Monday through Thursday.
- Some Friday and night work as needed.
- Business access and parking to remain open during construction.
- Shoulder and lane closures as needed.
- Delays with flaggers helping direct traffic as needed.
- Construction noise – using saws to cut concrete can be loud and dusty.

Pay attention in work zones, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work. Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.
Remember that fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
