Lane closures planned for Banfield Interchange Dec. 17-19, under Morrison Bridge Dec. 19-21

PORTLAND – If you plan to travel at night through Portland on Interstate 5 over the next five nights or use the Banfield Interchange linking I-5 and Interstate 84 Wednesday through Sunday nights, expect lane closures.
Work will take place in two locations:
- Watch for lane closures from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday through Friday nights around the Banfield Interchange for routine bridge inspections.
- On Friday through Sunday nights, watch for left lane closures of both directions of I-5 under the Morrison Bridge for work on the bridge. The left lanes will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights for Multnomah County's Morrison Bridge Strengthening Project. This is the second of two weekends of overnight weekend closures for repair work to the bridge.
If you plan to travel I-5 through Portland after 10 p.m. during the next five nights, please watch out and slow down for road crews’ safety as well as your own.
