SALEM – Forget to pick up cranberries or dinner rolls for your holiday feast? Head to Fred Meyer* and as long as you're there, quickly renew your vehicle registration. Too stuffed to move after Thanksgiving dinner? If you can reach your keyboard, you can likely complete your DMV transaction online and avoid a trip to a busy field office.
While DMV offices will be closed Nov. 27-28 for Thanksgiving Day and the day after, our online portal at dmv2u.oregon.gov offers over 30 transactions 24-hours-a-day. You can also complete vehicle registration transactions at our DMV Express Kiosks inside 10 Fred Meyer stores throughout the Portland area, the Willamette Valley, Medford and Bend.
At a DMV Express Kiosk, you can:
- Renew your vehicle registration.
- Print a copy of your vehicle registration.
- Replace your vehicle registration card and stickers.
After a successful transaction, the items print immediately. Stickers are customized to include your license plate number. Use our interactive map to find the nearest Express Kiosk. Many Fred Meyer stores close at 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving, check your local store for hours.
