ROWENA - Work to remove hazard trees that burned in the Rowena Fire will begin Monday, Oct. 6, on Interstate 84. Drivers should expect delays between milepost 75 and Exit 82 (just west of Rowena to The Dalles).
Contractor Pomeroy Tree Care LLC will start on the eastbound side at milepost 75 and work east toward Exit 82, then move to the westbound side and head back toward milepost 75. The project is expected to wrap up by Oct. 30.
- Expect slow lane and shoulder closures between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
- The active work zone location will change daily as work progresses.
- Use caution; watch for workers and equipment in the work zone.
- Expect delays; factor in extra time for your commute.
