Northbound I-5 limited to one lane through Medford on Tuesday night

August 25, 2025

MEDFORD – Northbound travelers on Interstate 5 through Medford should expect short delays on Tuesday night, Aug. 26. Crews will repair pavement on the Medford viaduct, requiring the closure of one lane.

Beginning at 7 p.m., all northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane for a short stretch between Exit 27 (South Medford) and Exit 30 (Crater Lake Highway). Work is expected to wrap up before 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Please use caution and watch for workers in the roadway.

Visit TripCheck.com for the latest information on road conditions and closures.

Funding information

While ODOT’s funding crisis is having a profound impact on maintenance and operations, some critical maintenance and preservation activities, like this one, will continue in order to ensure the safety of the transportation system. These efforts may still be delayed, take longer to complete, or be limited in scope due to reduced staffing and resources. We will continue to do everything possible to prioritize safety and minimize disruptions, but we ask for your understanding and patience as we work through these unprecedented constraints.
