Forest Grove ADA Curb Ramp
No matter how you move through the area, we're making OR 47 in Forest Grove more accessible by rebuilding or installing ADA curb ramps.
This weekend, you can expect crews paving at the OR 47 and Pacific Avenue intersection.
On Sunday, August 3, you can expect:
- Crews working at night 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Flaggers helping direct traffic on OR 47 and Pacific Avenue.
- Shoulder and lane closures.
- Delays.
- Construction noise – using saws to cut concrete can be loud and dusty.
- Businesses to remain open during construction.
Curious why ADA curb ramps are important?
ADA curb ramps make it easier for people to move between the sidewalk and road. This can be helpful for those who have trouble stepping up and down high curbs. It's also helpful for people using wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, hand carts and bicycles.
By making curb ramps gently slope to the road, it improves accessibility and makes it easier for everyone to get around, whether they have a disability or not.
Funding information
While ODOT’s funding crisis is having a profound impact on maintenance and operations, most projects will continue. These projects are typically funded through separate programs, often with state or federal funds that are legally restricted to project development and cannot be used for maintenance or day-to-day operations. For more information on ODOT’s funding crisis, visit our website.

Pay attention in work zones, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work. Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.
Remember: fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
