Eagle Point — Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is hosting an Open House Event on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Eagle Point City Hall on 17 S. Buchanan Ave from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
This meeting is an opportunity for the community to learn more about the upcoming project that is scheduled to kickoff construction in 2027. ODOT will have members of the project team as well as subject matter experts available to speak with about the project.
The project will provide a single lane roundabout at the intersection to help reduce the number of crashes. Various options are available to improve safety at this intersection ranging from installation of a traffic signal to installation of a roundabout. This intersection has previously been upgraded with flashing beacons, and turn lanes, however additional improvements are required to further reduce the crash rate. The roundabout is the preferred option at rural high-speed intersections because they have been shown to reduce crash severity relative to other available solutions.
