We're pausing ADA curb ramp work in Vernonia – see you in fall! |

Our crews have been working on ADA curb ramps in Vernonia to improve accessibility for everyone.
We're pausing our work now that summertime is in full swing. This will help reduce traffic impacts for all the summer activities! You'll still see our crew working on curb ramps on OR 47 in Forest Grove and other highways around Oregon.
Please remember to drive with caution through the area.
Stay tuned – we'll send out an update when we have a better idea about when we'll return in fall 2025.

Why are ADA curb ramps important?
ADA curb ramps make it easier for people to move between the sidewalk and road. This can be helpful for those who have trouble stepping up and down high curbs. It's also helpful for people using wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, hand carts and bicycles.
By making curb ramps gently slope to the road, it improves accessibility and makes it easier for everyone to get around, whether they have a disability or not.

Planning a trip through Mist this summer?
We're replacing a culvert in Mist this year and will need a temporary full OR 47 closure June 16 through August 21.
You can use OR 47, U.S. 20 and Apiary Road to get around the full closure.
You can expect to see crews working Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Pay attention in work zones, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work! Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.
Remember: fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
