Road closures will start a day early in Tigard for railroad crossing replacements this summer

June 24, 2025

HILLSBORO-TIGARD – Three railroad crossings on state highways in Hillsboro and Tigard will close for several days each this summer so that the railroad can replace the crossings.

The first scheduled closure will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 26, on SW Durham Road in Tigard on the west side of OR 141 – SW Upper Boones Ferry Road. This closure will start one day earlier than originally scheduled.

SW Durham Road will remain closed 24/7 until the railroad completes replacing the crossing at 9 p.m. Monday, June 30.

Additional 24/7 closures for rail crossing replacements in the area are scheduled for:

  • July 30 to Aug. 7: Eastbound OR 8 – SW Oak Street – will be closed at SW Adams Avenue in Hillsboro. Westbound OR 8 – SW Baseline Street – will remain open.
  • 11 to 15: OR 219, First Avenue, will be closed between SE Cosmic Lane and SE Clipper Lane in Hillsboro.

Work schedules can change due to weather and other factors, so please visit TripCheck.com to plan your trip just before hitting the road.
