We're working at night on ADA curb ramps in Forest Grove

Making Forest Grove more accessible, one curb ramp at a time!
No matter how you move through the area, we're making OR 47 in Forest Grove more accessible by rebuilding or installing ADA curb ramps.
We're continuing to work at night. Please use caution if you're going through the work zone. Thank you for your patience and for helping keep our workers safe!
|

You can expect:
- Crews working at night, Monday through Friday.
- Starting June 29, we're working Sunday through Thursday at night.
- Shoulder and lane closures as needed.
- Delays with flaggers helping direct traffic as needed.
- Construction noise – using saws to cut concrete can be loud and dusty.
- Businesses to remain open during construction.

Curious why ADA curb ramps are important?
ADA curb ramps make it easier for people to move between the sidewalk and road. This can be helpful for those who have trouble stepping up and down high curbs. It's also helpful for people using wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, hand carts and bicycles.
By making curb ramps gently slope to the road, it improves accessibility and makes it easier for everyone to get around, whether they have a disability or not.

Pay attention in work zones, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work! Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.
Remember: fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
