Pavement repair projects cause short delays in Jackson County this week

June 9, 2025

Two maintenance projects could cause delays for motorists traveling on Interstate 5 in Jackson County this week. Please use caution when driving in highway work zones.

Pavement repair - Interstate 5, MP 40-43: Northbound commuters on Interstate 5 between Medford and Grants Pass should plan for delays on the morning of Tuesday, June 10. Crews are repairing worn pavement and potholes in the northbound lanes between Exits 40 and 43. Expect a single-lane closure through the work zone beginning at 5 a.m. and continuing until late morning. Watch for workers and be prepared to slow.

Crack sealing - Interstate 5, MP 19-24: Nighttime work continues through June 20 on Interstate 5 from Ashland to Phoenix (MP 19-24). Between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., watch for single-lane closures while crews seal cracks in the pavement in the northbound and southbound lanes. Watch for workers in the roadway. Motorists can expect enhanced law enforcement patrols in the work zone, made possible by safety grant funding.
